Former UFC® Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was at his devastating best last December as he settled his score with Wanderlei Silva via a chilling first round knockout. On Saturday, March 7, Jackson will look to move one step closer to regaining his title when he takes on the man who beat both Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin, Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine.

Live and exclusive on Setanta tonight is the FA Cup 5th round replay from the KC Stadium as Premiership side Hull look to avoid an upset against Sheffield Utd and on Sunday lunchtime Setanta will be showing exclusive live coverage of the premier league tussle between Newcastle and Bolton.

FA Cup – Hull City v Sheffield Utd – February 26th
Can The Blades pick up where Coventry left off and succeed where Swansea failed by disposing of top-flight opposition?I hope the Blades lose, but then I am a hammers fan! Not a big fan of Sheffield united after they kept dragging out the Carlos Tevez saga :)

English Premier League – Bolton v Newcastle – March 1st
Live Barclays Premier League tussle from the Reebok Stadium as Gary Megson’s Bolton look to edge closer to the top half of the table against a struggling Newcastle side. This should be a good battle, I predict a real hard fought game and plenty of yellow cards!

Sunday’s Carling Cup Final between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be shown live on Sky sports 1 with coverage starting at 2.30pm (kick off 3pm). Last year’s winners, Spurs, are once again the clear underdogs in what could well be an enthralling final. Manchester Utd had few problems breezing past Derby County in the Semi Final, but Spurs had an almighty scare against Burnley. Since then the form of the Red Devils has been imperious, whereas the Lillywhites have struggled to find any sort of consistency.

I’m lucky enough to have snagged a ticket to the final, so what will I see played out on the hallowed Wembley turf?

My prediction is that Spurs will score first via a deflected shot from Jermain Jenas, but will be unable to hang on to that lead. Man Utd will win a dodgy penalty, dived and converted by Ronaldo. Berbatov (obviously) will score what seems to be the winner on 70 minutes - an angled header off his alice band. BUT in the second minute of injury time, Rio Ferdinand will rugby tackle Aaron Lennon, flattening him inside the box. Pavlyuchenko steps up and calmly slots the penalty into the corner. 2-2 and it’s extra time… I have seen the freakish events that lead to the cup winning goal, but if you want to find out what happens, you’ll have to watch the game!

Getting ready for the live Monday night game. Watching both Tottenham Hotspur and Hull on Setanta is, as Forest Gump’s Mom would say, very much like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get - but let’s hope for some sweet football tonight. For all the superstitious statos out there, Monday night games on Setanta featuring Spurs have yielded the following results - Won 1 (v. West Ham 2-0) Lost 1 (v. Aston Villa 1-2). For Hull this will be their first Monday 8pm fixture on Setanta. In the reverse fixture back in October it was a Giovanni special that separated the teams. The bookies make Spurs favourites, but will King and Keane rouse their troops to victory or will they freeze at the gates of Hull.

Could be a cracker this one…

Setanta Sports has announced that the Premier League has awarded the company live television rights to games for a further three seasons until 2013.

Setanta was the successful bidder for the D package of games for the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. This entitles Setanta to broadcast 23 games a season primarily to be shown at 5:30pm on a Saturday from August 2010 (the start of the 2010-11 season).

Setanta maintains their current Premier League package for the remainder of the 2008-09 season and throughout the 2009-10 season, which starts this August and entitles Setanta to broadcast 46 games a season.

Setanta’s rights to televise Barclays Premier League games remains at the heart of the company’s broad offering of great sport. This includes the FA Cup, home nations World Cup Qualifiers and England home friendlies, the Scottish Premier League, the UEFA Cup from next season, top-flight boxing, Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket, US PGA golf, UFC and, from 2010, Guinness Premiership rugby.

Setanta Sports has announced its two exclusively live FA Cup Sixth Round (quarter-final) games, as well as confirmation of their Fifth Round and Fifth Round Replay matches.

FA Cup Winners

FA Cup Winners

The first game to be screened is the Fifth Round Replay between Hull City and Sheffield United on Thursday, February 26th at 7.45pm. The teams shared a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane at the weekend and another no-nonsense Yorkshire derby at the KC Stadium can be expected as both teams look to seal a coveted quarter-final berth.

The next match exclusively live on Setanta is the Fifth Round fixture between Arsenal and Burnley on Sunday, March 8th at 1.30pm. Arsenal cruised past Cardiff in front of the Setanta cameras in their Fourth Round Replay, and they’ll be hoping for a repeat 4-0 score line against championship opposition when they face Burnley at the Emirates Stadium. Owen Coyle’s side has performed well this season however, and the Carling Cup semi-finalists have proved they can be more than a match for Premier League opposition already this season.

Setanta’s first ever FA Cup quarter-final will be an all Premier League affair on Sunday, March 8th at 4pm, as David Moyes’ Everton, many people’s dark horses for this year’s competition, face either West Ham or Middlesbrough at Goodison Park. Everton have already seen off Liverpool and Aston Villa in the FA Cup this season, so will fancy their chances to progress through to their first semi-final since they won the competition in 1995. West Ham and Boro have a more successful cup pedigree in recent years and the winner of their replay will relish the opportunity to face Everton and a chance to play at Wembley in a FA Cup semi-final.

The other FA Cup quarter-final on Setanta sees Arsenal or Burnley at home to Sheffield United or Hull City on either Tuesday, March 17th or Wednesday, March 18th. Kick-off time tbc.

The confirmed line-up of exclusively live FA Cup games on Setanta Sports 1 is:
FA Cup Fifth Round Replay: Thursday, February 26th @ 7.45pm – Hull City vs. Sheffield United FA Cup Fifth Round: Sunday, March 8th @ 1.30pm – Arsenal vs. Burnley FA Cup Sixth Round: Sunday, March 8th @ 4.00pm – Everton vs. West Ham United or Middlesbrough FA Cup Sixth Round: Tuesday, March 17th or Wednesday, March 18th @ TBA - Arsenal or Burnley vs. Sheffield United or Hull City

Setanta’s coverage of the FA Cup this season is the first of a four-year deal signed with the FA. It entitles Setanta to broadcast up to 25 games from the FA Cup every season, with three live games and a replay from rounds three to five, two exclusively live quarter-finals, one exclusively live semi-final and the final itself (also broadcast by joint rights holder ITV).  Setanta has also broadcast two live games and two replays from rounds one and two.

Live Mixed Martial Arts action from the O2 Arena as headliners Diego Sanchez and Joe Stevenson square up to each other in their hotly anticipated Lightweight bout.

Boxing – Pavlik v Rubio – Saturday February 21st
Marco Antonio Rubio takes on Kelly Pavlik in Saturday’s middleweight title fight, LIVE on Setanta Sports. Rubio is not in the least bit perturbed by the fact that he is going in as a massive underdog; Pavlik returns to 160lbs to make a second defence of the WBO and WBC titles he won with a thrilling seventh-round stoppage of Jermain Taylor two years ago.
