Sky have made some changes to their setup costs when ordering or upgrading Sky.
These changes affect:
1. The setup costs for customers taking a Multiroom proposition
2. The setup costs for customers taking a Sky+ HD box
For Multiroom, in the majority of instances the setup costs have been increased from FREE to £15 (see below for specifics and exceptions)
For Sky+ HD, all setup costs will be reduced to FREE for new customers. This applies for both stand alone Sky+ HD boxes, and also when Sky+ HD is taken in any multiroom combination. It is also worth noting that FREE Sky+ HD setup is not conditional on packages taken, and therefore it supersedes the previous online offer of FREE setup with Sports and/or Movies! Cool.
Sky Setup Charges
Set up: Standard set-up for Sky+HD box is free for new customers, £60 for exisiting customers or £30 for existing customers taking Multiroom. Standard set-up for Sky+ box is £30 for new customers (£15 if you take Multiroom) or £60 for existing Sky TV customers. Standard set-up for a Sky box is £60 for new and existing customers. Standard set-up £117.45 without Sky TV. Non-standard set-up may cost extra. Sky Broadband set-up fees for existing Sky TV customers £60 for Base, £30 for Everyday & Connect or free for Unlimited.
