Setanta Sports has announced its two exclusively live FA Cup Sixth Round (quarter-final) games, as well as confirmation of their Fifth Round and Fifth Round Replay matches.

FA Cup Winners

FA Cup Winners

The first game to be screened is the Fifth Round Replay between Hull City and Sheffield United on Thursday, February 26th at 7.45pm. The teams shared a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane at the weekend and another no-nonsense Yorkshire derby at the KC Stadium can be expected as both teams look to seal a coveted quarter-final berth.

The next match exclusively live on Setanta is the Fifth Round fixture between Arsenal and Burnley on Sunday, March 8th at 1.30pm. Arsenal cruised past Cardiff in front of the Setanta cameras in their Fourth Round Replay, and they’ll be hoping for a repeat 4-0 score line against championship opposition when they face Burnley at the Emirates Stadium. Owen Coyle’s side has performed well this season however, and the Carling Cup semi-finalists have proved they can be more than a match for Premier League opposition already this season.

Setanta’s first ever FA Cup quarter-final will be an all Premier League affair on Sunday, March 8th at 4pm, as David Moyes’ Everton, many people’s dark horses for this year’s competition, face either West Ham or Middlesbrough at Goodison Park. Everton have already seen off Liverpool and Aston Villa in the FA Cup this season, so will fancy their chances to progress through to their first semi-final since they won the competition in 1995. West Ham and Boro have a more successful cup pedigree in recent years and the winner of their replay will relish the opportunity to face Everton and a chance to play at Wembley in a FA Cup semi-final.

The other FA Cup quarter-final on Setanta sees Arsenal or Burnley at home to Sheffield United or Hull City on either Tuesday, March 17th or Wednesday, March 18th. Kick-off time tbc.

The confirmed line-up of exclusively live FA Cup games on Setanta Sports 1 is:
FA Cup Fifth Round Replay: Thursday, February 26th @ 7.45pm – Hull City vs. Sheffield United FA Cup Fifth Round: Sunday, March 8th @ 1.30pm – Arsenal vs. Burnley FA Cup Sixth Round: Sunday, March 8th @ 4.00pm – Everton vs. West Ham United or Middlesbrough FA Cup Sixth Round: Tuesday, March 17th or Wednesday, March 18th @ TBA - Arsenal or Burnley vs. Sheffield United or Hull City

Setanta’s coverage of the FA Cup this season is the first of a four-year deal signed with the FA. It entitles Setanta to broadcast up to 25 games from the FA Cup every season, with three live games and a replay from rounds three to five, two exclusively live quarter-finals, one exclusively live semi-final and the final itself (also broadcast by joint rights holder ITV).  Setanta has also broadcast two live games and two replays from rounds one and two.
