South Africa has now been confirmed as this years official host venue for season 2 of the DLF Indian Premier League. With its warm climate and breathtaking cricket grounds, South Africa are sure to be the perfect host for this years competition. The opening ceremony will be held in Cape Town, with the inaugural match being played on April 18 and the final to be played on May 24th 2009.

Setanta will be covering all 59 matches from South Africa. Eight teams will be competing to take the title, including the Bangalore Royal Challengers, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and the Deccan Chargers.
