Virgin Media provide a full range of media products including Digital TV, Broadband, Fixed and mobile phone services. In order to subscribe to Virgin’s digital television packages you do not need an aerial or a satellite dish. Virgin transmit their digital TV signal through a cable telephone line. To sign up to Virgin you must live in an area covered by their cable network. A Virgin phone line is required to receive Virgin digital TV and costs £11 per month. All packages are for a minimum 12 month subscription. If you do not have current a cable phone line, Virgin will install one. Setting up your Digital TV with Virgin costs £30 and includes the standard digital decoder.

Virgin also offers the V+ box. This allows you to pause, rewind and record two different channels while watching a third. The V+ box also allow customers to watch programs in High Definition TV giving crystal clear images and providing Dolby surround sound. The V+ box itself is free but there is and installation fee of £150. For subscribers to the Virgin TV M (medium) and L (large) packages there is an additional £5 per month charge to be able to view Virgin HD content.

There are a number of combination packages or “bundles” offered that also include broadband and mobile phone. Combining Virgin’s services in this way can save you money. Virgin’s 3 for £30 per month bundle provides digital TV, broadband and landline phone with no other monthly costs.
